Body Art & Self Expression

Mary Bell

My name is Gaia Liotta and I am trying to get a lead on a case- the case of Mary Bell. Between the ages of ten and twelve Mary Bell was accused of murdering three children  and was given full adult sentence. I want to hear her story from her- and am trying to find Mary Bell, currently in late 50s. For someone who was sexually abuses as a child I feel her sentence was extreme as well as her treatment once she was with child (after twenty five years in prison).

I know that she exists under an alterante name but if anyone has any leads, or suggestions on getting concreate evidence in accessing her case please contact me at gliotta@gm.slc.edu

Any insights or concreate info would also be appreciated.

Mission Statement for Body Art

Body Art is a student- run fashion club. We Sponsor speakers (such as local NYC designers and Sarah Lawrence graduates) to talk about their experiences working in the fashion industry, plan fashion outings to museums, vintage stores, and flea markets, and sponsor student lead fashion shows and events.

The purpose of Body Art is to prevent a polluted mentality that exists in the industry. Fashion should not be about elitism or made for a certain body type. Fashion is about self- love and empowerment. The clothes someone wears projects the self image they want to present to society.

People often have an aversion to fashion because society forces us to fit into misconstrued societal conceptions of beauty. Body Art’s purpose is to deconstruct these unhealthy notions and promote self-empowerment and love through fashion education and appreciation

Getting ready for Winter Carnival and excited for things to actually HAPPEN this term

Boston Hats to Rival Royals

It’s been years since I’ve visited this couture store;however, if your looking for a hat to seriously rival that of the British Royals you are in for a treat. www.galvinized-hats.com. If you live in Boston, go today! Other favorites, the  MET,  ICA, Isabelle Gardner museums ( although I know the ICA has a acquired sense of taste for most museum goers….) NO excuse for the Garment District. Cheap clothes by the pound? Great deal anyone? http://www.garmentdistrict.com/departments/bc/index.htm
